All weather sealant for VHCT architectural concrete

Colourless, water repellent, all-weather sealant for VHCT Architectural concrete.

APPLICATION

Colourless protection against rain for use on concrete, structural elements of concrete, plasters, cellular concrete, brick cladding, concrete cladding panels, natural stone.

Examples of application

• protecting architectural concrete slabs from heavy soiling

• preventive protection for architectural concrete against heavy weathering

• colorless water repellant protection of historic buildings

• water repellant protection for walls made of concrete, brick, stone and synthetic absorbent ceramic tiles

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES

The sealant is a colorless liquid based on siloxane resins containing solvents. It is a heavy duty sealant for all absorbent mineral materials used in construction. When applied to an absorbent surface, the sealant penetrates deeply into the substrate and reacts with moisture to repell water. Thanks to These properties, the water repellant sealant protects against Potentially Damaging aggressive weather conditions.

The sealant Provides high UV resistance and waterproofing are:

• horizontal surfaces (terraces, balconies);

• underground floors;

• water tanks;

• plaster surfaces;

• synthetic plasters and surfaces painted with synthetic paints.

Before working with VHCT sealant it is recommended That tests are Carried out to DETERMINE any possible color change of natural stone, colored plasters or other types of substrates.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Preparation of the base: The base must be dry, strong, durable and stable, free of dust, paint, waxes, varnishes and other substances Which reduce the efficacy of the sealant penetration. The choice of a cleaning method depends on the degree of soiling of the old substrate, usually washing with cold water will suffice. Hot water or steam cleaning is recommended when the surface is contaminated with grease or oil. Soiled surfaces should be cleaned with a brush and then carefully vacuumed. The sealant is a ready-to-use product, it must not be thinned with water or Solvents. The efficacy of the product depends on the depth of its penetration into the material. Absorbency depends on the porosity of the protected material and the amount of the product applied. When covering large surfaces, apply the sealant by spraying, use a roller in small spaces and areas with lots of windows. Immediately remove any excess from the surface with a dry sponge roller once the surface has been protected with sealant it can not be painted later: painting the surface should be Carried out before impregnation using inorganic paints (eg silicate paints). In any event, it is advisable to carry out a possible color change test

Precautionary AND SAFETY MEASURES

The sealant contains flammable Solvents, harmful and hazardous to the aquatic environment. During application, it is advisable to use safety goggles and Comply with all Recommendations for flammable products: do not store near naked flames or any source of ignition – no smoking. The the ensure good ventilation when applying sealant in a closed room. Clothes soiled with the sealant must be changed Immediately. Product residues should be treated as a hazardous substance. Cleaning: Tools and equipment used for applying the sealant can be cleaned with Solvents (petrol, turpentine substitutes, etc.).

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

The sealant is best applied before assembling wall panels; carry out a test on 1-2 elements. When completely dry, if there are no contraindications, continue on the remaining elements. Use sealant on dry elements only.

HOW MUCH DO YOU NEED

dependent on the substrate absorbency

– As a guide:

Concrete: 0.15 – 0.30 kg / m² per layer.

Cement plaster: 0.25 – 0.60 kg / m² per layer

Natural stone: 0.10 – 0.30 kg / m² per layer.
